Glycerin & Plant Oils

The oils dissolve makeup and SPF, because oil dissolves oil. The 5% glycerin holds on to moisture while they do it, so skin does not feel tight afterwards.

Gluconolactone

Gluconolactone is a PHA, the gentlest family of acids, and at 1% it is the milder of the two in here. On sensitive skin that is the difference between every evening and twice a week.

Glycolic Acid

Glycolic acid is an AHA, and the smallest one, so it works on the surface. At 1% it loosens what a day leaves behind well enough to rinse away without scrubbing.

Can I use it on the same night as Complexion Care?

Yes. Milky Miracle is rinsed off, so the acids are only on your skin for as long as you cleanse. That is too short to clash with a retinol. Cleanse, pat your skin dry, then apply Complexion Care.

Does it remove eye makeup?

Most of it, yes. Waterproof mascara is the exception, that usually needs a dedicated remover first. Keep it out of your eyes and rinse thoroughly.

It contains almond oil. Is that a problem with nut allergies?

If you have a tree nut allergy, do not use it. The formula contains sweet almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) as one of its main cleansing oils, and there is no version without it. Radical Refresh is oil free.

Why does it have a faint smell if it's fragrance free?

Fragrance free means we have not added any. What you are smelling is the formula itself: sesame, almond and sunflower oil all carry a natural scent, mildly nutty and slightly warm. It fades on rinsing and is not a sign that anything has gone off. If it ever turns sharp or sour, that is a different matter.

Will the acids make my skin sensitive to sun?

Not meaningfully. Glycolic acid can increase sun sensitivity when it stays on the skin, but this rinses off. Wear SPF daily anyway, for all the usual reasons.

Milky Miracle or Radical Refresh?

Milky Miracle if your skin runs dry or sensitive, if you wear makeup, or if foaming cleansers leave you tight. Radical Refresh if your skin runs oily or you cleanse after workouts. Plenty of people use both, the gel in the morning and the milk at night.

Is it vegan and fragrance free?

Yes to both. Also free from parabens, sulfates, silicones, microplastics and essential oils. 97% of the formula is of natural origin, and the pH is 4.8.

How long will one bottle last?

With daily use, roughly three months from 150 ml.
